www.spring-green.com Harold Enger talks about the benefits of core aeration for your home lawn. Core aeration is probably the most beneficial thing you can do for your lawn other than fertilization. A core aerator will pull up plugs of soil and place them back on the grass. It helps compacted soil and to reduce thatch. The aeration process opens up the soil to allow more air, water and nutrients to reach the root level of the grass plants. After an aeration, it’s a great time to overseed your lawn if necessary. The aeration holes allow the seed to fall into the holes and germinate.

I have an ariens lawn tractor. It is of the emperor models. It is pull start, but wont start. What do i do?
I changed the spark plug, Changed the oil, cleaned the carb bowl. What do I do next? Please help. I have a lawn mowing job (I’m 13, and mow a few lawns) and just got this tractor, but it wont run. Keep in mind I only have about 0.
I tried compression tests, spark plug sparks, carb I am unsure of what to do to clean it, and the gas has been cleaned. What now?
Anyone wanna give me a running tractor or some help with this one? I live in Avon Ny, near Geneseo and Rochester.
how can I avoid being exposed to lawn care chemicals?
I like to walk, run, and bike around my neighborhood, but the people in my neighborhood (lazy, uninformed fools) constantly apply toxic lawn-care chemicals to their lawns, almost on a weekly basis, and as a result I am constantly exposed to toxic and even carcinogenic fumes and vapors. What can I do? I don’t have a car, so I am quite simply forced to walk or bike. Should I buy a gas mask?
thanks
okay, be sarcastic if you wish, but if you use lawn-care chemicals, or if your neighbors use it, know that it WILL make you sick or even kill you!
What classes do i need as a lawn care owner for applying fertilizer legally in Indiana?
I know that you have to take a class for owners of lawn care to fertilize and use chemicals on lawns if it is for profit. I just cannot find the website or any information about where to do this in indiana. Please someone that has taken this class or who has the certification help me out?
My parernts use a lot of water (All day all night)?
Okay so it gets really hot out. We have this garden with all these fruit and veggies, my dad waters it with a sprinkler type thing attached to a hose ALL DAY. it running all day and might be stopped for like an 30 minutes. and night he uses the sprinkler to water the lawn. It’s terrible and I told my and she\s like "The plants will die out" and i told they dont need to be watered all day but she disagrees. if I shut the water off my parents will scream and beat me up literally.
here is the water usage thing for the city
"From June 1 to September 30 sprinkling of lawns at times other than those listed below is prohibited. These measures are being taken to conserve our water resource so adequate amounts of water are available for all purposes. Any complaints received, or observed violations, may result in fines imposed under Surrey By-law No. 12508.
When you may sprinkle your lawn:
DAYS:
EVEN numbered addresses may sprinkle on Wednesdays and Saturdays
ODD numbered addresses may sprinkle on Thursdays and Sundays
TIME: (on permitted days)
4:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Most lawns only need about 2.5 centimeters of water per week (depth of a tuna can). This amount can easily be applied by sprinkling once a week.
……..
. "Watering of flowers, shrubs, trees and vegetable gardens is not affected by the regulations during this stage of the restrictions. To conserve water, consider using a watering can or a hose with a spring loaded or other automatic shut-off nozzle, and water in the morning."
What can i do?
