Question by kyle: I have 2 different types of grass in my yard with a distinct line between the 2?
The lawn in my backyard has 2 different types of grass with a distinct line between the 2 types. I think that they were put down at different times. What should I do to fix this problem? How can I make it all look the same? Is there a time in the year as to when I should fix this?

I have the same problem in my back yard..not much you can do(dig up one replant with the other) I just keep both types fertilized good and the color of both a deep green you can’t tell from a distance that they are differant types.

Question by Purpleflower: We currently have two types of grass in our yard. How can we get our lawn to be one grass type only?
The lawn looks great when we mow, but a few days later, the different grass types really show. They grow at different lengths and it looks terrible. Please help!

I don’t know how big your lawn is, but the only way you’re going to end up with just one type of grass, is to rototill the entire lawn, then replant your lawn. A land scaping crew, can do this for you. Give someone a call for an estimate. It’d be a lot of work for your husband & you to do, but if you don’t want to pay anyone, then you’ll have to do it yourself.
